I’m new too!

April 13th, 2008 | by Doulton |

This is my first Loopy Ewe Swap. I joined because I had ordered from them before and was very impressed by their stock and the wide variety of different companies who they represent.

Now that I’ve joined, I am a bit terrified. I’m somebody who could knit just about anything back in the 1970’s and 1980’s. The demands of my job took me away from knitting for quite a while. When I see the pictures of other people’s finished projects on Ravelry I sometimes just gasp with admiration. I don’t do nearly as well. In my first pair of socks I inadvertently put have done a yarn over because there’s a little hole to mock me! I’ve befriended the little hole–we are like secret pals because I know that nobody else will ever look at these socks quite that closely. To make something for a pal who is much more proficient than I am–well, that’s daunting. But what would life be without a challenge?

Take care, everyone!

Hi Doulton! Don’t be afraid. The swap is lots of fun and we all just enjoy sharing with each other :-)
